The Whiskey Rollerball Pen
Turned from reclaimed Kentucky bourbon barrels — white oak, charred from the inside — each pen carries the history of what it held. The maker says that when he turns them in the shop, the fragrance of bourbon fills the air. A piece of the char is preserved in every pen. No two are alike.
Paired with stainless steel hardware, it has a solid feel while staying slightly lighter than the brass fountain pen.
Made in America by Jim Cantrell and Ryan Jones — grandfather and grandson — in an old barn woodshed on the outskirts of Louisville, Kentucky.
Onion skin paper takes rollerball pens exceptionally well. This one is a natural companion to any journal in the collection.
